Its a PIII problem, two weeks later its a bugtraq problem, 4 weeks later its a mainstream newsprint problem. Its no different to handling F00F and all the other fun silicon stuff - in fact its data compromising so it would be worse than f00f

If Intel have been sane I still don't agree with Ingo, but not to the extent I actually care which method is used.
