Under Digital Unix 4.0E (formerly DEC OSF/1):
$ uname OSF1 $ cd /tmp $ mkdir TT $ cd TT $ rmdir . rmdir: .: Invalid argument $ rmdir /tmp/TT $ ls -a . not found $ ls -a /tmp/TT /tmp/TT not found $ pwd pwd: read error in .. $ cd .. ..: No such file or directory $
