without _too_ much data - 400GB will fsck in less than a minute. With
lots of large (1GB+) files, it takes somewhat longer...

With plenty of small files, it probably won't finish this
millenium.

(btw -- tested with big black SGI disk vault system, which presumably
does fancy stuff internally to speek things up)
