You can make the bootrom to load your kernel with initrd from tftp server as well. Look at netboot/etherboot packages, they are doing mainly bootp(or dhcp) + tftp the whole kernel+ramdisk image. -- Happy New Year! Krzysztof Halasa Network Administrator
