SubjectRe: Official kernel stance on EGCS?
I've been using egcs to build the kernel for about six months now following all
the way up to 2.2.0-pre6 as of Saturday. I've been very happy with it.

Good luck & enjoy,

Ben Scherrey

PS: I'm on i86 boxes. YMMV on other platforms.
