Huh?? I can boot my 7500 just fine with quik, using either a 2.1.13*
kernel or a 2.2.0-pre* kernel.

Can you give us more information about how far you get booting with
quik and where and how it fails? Just saying "fails to boot" doesn't
give us very much to go on.
