The XFree86 people apparently do not ignore bug reports.
It is a known problem that starting the Matrox server on certain motherboards can hang the system in about 5% of the cases. As of Feb 98 the reason for this problem was still unknown. Not knowing how to solve a problem does not mean ignoring it.
Yes, but not replying to an e-mail, even to say that there is no known solution and it might be your fault, does constitute "ignoring" a bug report.
