(1) Please use the module version and load pd with the "verbose" option.
Send me the resulting log messages.

(2) Try building PARIDE _without_ PARPORT. It should work, but the
the port sharing feature will be unavailable. If it doesn't work,
then the problem is not with PARPORT.
