They are basically useless. I think I submitted a diff to remove them about 2.1.50 or so when it became apparent that it was a hard project nobody was doing. Until this was mentioned I didnt realise they hadnt been dropped.
If you want the URL to the IBM document on netbios stuff just ask
Linus can you rm -rf net/netbeui please - the code there is too broken to help anyone.
