rm means you never have to say your sorry. Rather than add anything to ext2, I think it would be better to just alias rm to rm -i. Or better, bit of a script that catches things like
rm -rf junk *
that may have supposed to have been
rm -rf junk*
should suffice. rm is serious, leave it that way. Not backing up is another way of saying that what you create is worthless.
