No good. You need *every* section to be divided up this way, at least to be possible, since the data section is likely to be different (32/64-bit, endianness, different #ifdefs); furthermore, Alpha and SPARC64 are using ELF64 and others ELF32. I think if anything an ar archive (or similar) containing the appropriate ELF images might be in order.
