Unless you actually use to different ethernet spines.
eg.

eth0 +----------+---------+-------+-------------- Network A
| | | |
foo bar baz ding
| | | |
eth1 +----------+---------+-------+-------------- Network B


This works fine, I've got a setup like this at work.

However I don't think this is what the original poster meant.
