Well, you might get more that one reply, but here's mine:
Update. Update the procps package to version .99+. Look at ftp://tsx-11.mit.edu/pub/Linux/BETA/procps/ Why? Because the layout of /proc changed with kernel 1.3.something, and it confused the hell out of ps, top, etc. That's why. Hmm, I think this is in some FAQ too. Theoretically. Anyhow, Happy Easter ;-)
