Subject[HELP] Strange network problem
Sorry to ask this question here. I tried DEC help desk but am still
waiting for a reply. I tried the Uni ITS but was only given a request
number. In desperation I realise I should appeal on the net.

My problem is: I've got an DEC ALPHA 200 4/233 and a PC in my office.
ALPHA runs DEC Unix and PC runs Linux. I could easily setup the network
on PC, and thought I have all the information to setup the network on
Alpha. But I was wrong. After going through the menus and the pages of
document, I still couldn't configure the net properly. I can ping
machines on the subnet (128.184.72.0), and I know one of them can be
used as nameserver, but still I cannot ping any other machines outside
this subnet, e.g. 130.194.1.1. I just don't know what to try next.

Could anyone point me to the right direction?
