software=PCroute, hardware=a seperately designed LAPB capable card
(with a Z80 onboard doing LAPB processing)
for a leased line to our university (i.e. no dial up). the card is/was
produced in hungary.
as soon as I used this machine as a router, with Linux doing some ftp/www,
it simply crashed (the hard way :)
