I'm not sure about linux itself supporting it, but there are multi-headed
X servers out there that do. Metro-X and AccelX (http://www.xinside.com)
are the two I know of. I know I saw a patch at tsx-11.mit.edu in either
the BETA or ALPHA directory for "dual-monitor", but I'm not sure what it
is.
