Pretty much, this being my mount option in /etc/fstab: /dev/hda1 /dos vfat umask=177 1 1 it seemed worked fine if umake=177 was replaced with defaults. I also noticed that options were being ignore in 1.3.72 for not only vfat but iso9660 as well. I could be mistaken tho.
