Even Windows 95 knows that a MB equals 1024*1024 bytes. If I open the
"Properties" window on my C: drive in Windows 95 it says

Used space: 521 035 776 bytes 496MB
Free space: 6 619 136 bytes 6,31MB

Capacity: 527 654 912 bytes 503MB
