Stability is in the eye of the beholder. I have systems than ran 90 days with 2.0.10 and were rebooted for kernel upgrades and because of ping attacks, that couldn't make it more than a few days with stock 1.2.13, or a few weeks with every 1.2.13 patch I could lay my hands on. 1.2.13 has numerous very serious bugs...you're just not running into most of them.
